Invisible Orthodontics: Your Options Explored

Has your dentist mentioned invisible orthodontics to you? At Harley Street Dentist our skilled dental team have helped many patients straighten their teeth with discreet orthodontic devices. If you dream of straighter teeth but don’t want to wear traditional braces, read on to find out more about the invisible options available.

hermsWe offer a number of discreet orthodontic products at our Victoria dental practice, because we understand that the thought of wearing metal train-track braces can be off-putting to many adult patients with busy social and professional lives. If you are interested in treatment with invisible orthodontics, your dentist will assess the amount and type of correcting needed and will recommend the best products to achieve this – with minimal impact on your lifestyle.
What is invisible orthodontics?
Invisible orthodontics takes the science behind traditional orthodontic treatment and modifies it to create devices that are either entirely or practically unnoticeable to the untrained eye. At our Victoria dental practice we offer treatment with both discreet braces and clear aligners – your dentist will recommend the best option for your individual case after an initial consultation.
Clear aligners
These aligners are made from clear plastic, and are designed to fit over your teeth snuggly. Depending on the type of aligner your dentist recommends, you may be given just one aligner or a series of them.
As well as being practically invisible, aligners have the added advantage of being removable. You should wear them for the amount of time your dentist prescribes, but can take them out for brief periods to clean, to brush your teeth and to eat.
Clear braces
Braces remain the cornerstone of orthodontics, but these days do not have to be made from obvious metal. At Hermes North London Dental Practice in Victoria, we offer treatment with discreet braces that have clear or tooth-coloured brackets and wires. This means that they will blend in with your teeth and will not be immediately obvious.
